In his second innings, Ram intends to leverage his rich corporate experience to enable individuals and organizations unlock their potential. He is particularly interested in helping start-ups and small business ventures grow their operations. Ram’s understanding of key drivers of business performance along with his proven ability to develop high performing teams and to handle rapid growth has enabled him to make significant contributions to many organizations.

Since March 2013, Ram has been a Director on the Board of Fusion Foods, which is a well established food solutions provider catering to blue-chip Corporates and Industries in South India. Fusion Foods has been growing rapidly in the recent past, with its turnover increasing seven-fold in five years since 2013. Was instrumental in re-structuring the business and successfully completing a transaction with a strategic investor during 2017, providing an exit to existing investors while also funding future growth.

Currently, an Advisor to Newt Global Consulting (NGC), a global technology company headquartered in Dallas, USA and providing IT consulting and solutions to several large enterprises including fortune 100 Companies. NGC is focused on Digital Transformation through automation and cloud-i-fication or cloud enabling enterprise applications. Also advise Newt Global Future Ventures, a group company which provides telematic solutions in the enterprise location based services (LBS) space.

Also, a co- founder ( with his wife) and oversees the operations of Canscan which is a stand-alone medical diagnostic centre in Chennai, offering primary diagnostic services such as ultrasound scan, digital X-ray, Echo-cardiogram and pathology Lab tests.

In his corporate career, Ram has held various positions of increasing responsibility as well as leadership roles in diverse businesses, including newly established companies where he has helped scale businesses, creating value for shareholders. His extensive experience spans areas such as Corporate Governance and General Management, Business Planning, Management Information Systems, Treasury, Financial Accounting & Control.

Ram stepped down as the General Manager / CFO and Director on the Board of Verizon Data Services India in March 2013. As a member of the team which established Verizon’s technology center in Chennai in June 2001, Ram played a key role in growing its operations – which now spans three cities and over 7000 resources. Having started his career in 1985 with Price Waterhouse in Chennai, Ram has worked in many leading companies – Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Titan Watches (TATA group), TI Cycles (Murugappa group), RPG Cellular and Saregama Plc, UK (RPG group).

Ram has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant. He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries (CS) and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (CMA). Ram has completed an Advanced General Management program from Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University, USA.

He was a part of the leadership team in DATS India Limited, Vista Security Technologies Private Limited and Siemens until 2010. He co-founded Ardelisys in 2010, a start-up in the building technologies space. From 2013, he was a Director of Mecheri Smart Capital Private Limited (MSCPL), an angel investing company involved in technology start-ups, and he provided management directions for companies founded by MSCPL. He is a post graduate in Foreign Trade Management and a graduate from Loyola College, Chennai.
